Oh Mama, tell me where's that river flow?
I've been in it such a long time
And nobody seems to know...
A song I wrote for Mother's Day 2020, to honor Mama Earth, Mama Goodwin (my mom), Mama Burns (my sister), and all mothers everywhere. I wrote the chorus last night on guitar. Today I climbed a mountain, sat down and made up some words as I played. At home I collaged the words and music with clips from my travels. Not bad for one day's play.
This is where the song begins; where it ends, nobody knows...
May we learn to love one another, and protect the Earth, while we have these strong bodies and hearts.
